چکیده
In this work, the performance of a cement plant with integrated calcium-looping (CaL) system being developed in H2020 CLEANKER project are simulated and benchmarked against alternative CO2 capture options, namely: (i) Tail-end CaL configuration (an end-of-pipe option, circulating fluidized bed reactors) (ii) Full Oxyfuel (where both pre-calciner rotary kiln operated oxy-combustion mode), (iii) Partial only is converted to oxy-combustion). Both oxyfuel options purification unit (CPU). The analysis performed shows that systems provide greater reductions (both direct indirect) than systems, but subject fuel consumption. better energy tail end (which most consuming system) thanks presence single calciner. full lowest SPECCA value among studied penalized by high electric demand. Finally, partial has lower electricity consumption system, it highest emissions.
